私は夢に向かって人生を歩んでいる人たちを見ると、つい応援したくなります。去年6月にＪＡＰＡＮ ＦＯＣＵＳのお茶会で偶然会った安久さんにまたロンドンで再会し、嬉しかったです。また、ＪＡＰＡＮ ＤＲＥＡＭに向かって人生をかけているマテオとシルビアに会えたこともとても嬉しいです。頑張ってください。I love people with passion and always want to support those people. It was amazing that I met Mr. Agu again in London this year after our first meeting through my event, JAPAN FOCUS - tea ceremony last June! Furthermore, it was delightful that I met Mateo and Sylvia who chase their JAPAN DREAM! Good luck!!!
金沢を愛する強い想いが、三人を再会させた。The passion for Kanazawa brought Mateo, Sylvia and Mr. Agu back together again!
マテオとシルビア・・なぜか気になるイタリア人カップルとの出会い。彼らと過ごした時間は安久にとっても印象深いものでしたが、かといってそれが金沢でのレストラン事業に発展するという実感には程遠いものでした。Mateo and Sylvia, they stayed in Mr. Agu’s mind after he met them in Kanazawa. Although three of them shared deeply impressive moment, nobody could imagine that it would lead them to start a restaurant business in Kanazawa.
「世界のどこかにレストランをつくったら、お祝いに行くよ」、安久はそう言って、金沢をあとにする二人を見送っています。ここであっさり終わってしまえば、それはありがちな話なのですが、このプロジェクトはいよいよここからが本格始動になります。After showing the buildings which Mr. Agu designed in Kanazawa, Mr. Agu said ‘I will visit your restaurant when you open it somewhere in the world!’ and he left the couple. It is a normal story that they never met after their separation. However, their project has begun since then!
二人を見送って一ヵ月半ほどたったある日、 マテオとシルビアから安久のもとに思いがけないメールが届きます。 After about one and half month, Mr. Agu received an e-mail from Mateo and Sylvia.
「旅行のあとイタリアに戻り、日本と金沢への思いが大きくなっている。・・もしも可能なら、金沢でのレストラン開業についての詳細を話し合い、ぜひともあなたのアドバイスをお願いしたい」’Since we went back to Italy, we have strong feelings towards Kanazawa day by day. We would like to discuss the details and definitely hear about your advices on our restaurant project based in Kanazawa.’
その文面は、安久にとって驚きであったのと同時に、運命に導かれるような感覚を呼び覚ますものでした。「これはきっと素晴らしいプロジェクトになる。本気で二人の力になろう」。安久は、ちょうど予定していた欧州出張と合わせて、2017年6月、二人が待つイタリア・リエティへと向かうことになりました。Mr. Agu was really surprised. At the same time, he felt the destiny of the three. ‘This will be an absolutely wonderful project. I will support them with full energy. He decided to visit the couple waiting for him in Reiti, Italy, in addition to his original business trip plans to Europe in June 2017.
日本人の感覚からすれば、すべてが幻想的でさえある美しい街・リエティ。ここでの再会がどれほど素晴らしく感動的であったかは想像に難くありません。 Rieti was so beautiful and was like a fairy-tale for Japanese people. It was absolutely speechless how much they impressed and appreciated for the moment of their reunion!
明るい光が降り注ぐ初夏のイタリア。丘陵を吹き抜ける爽やかな風を感じながら、三人は夢中になって今後のビジネスプランを語り合い、現地レストランを視察し、そしてマテオとシルビアが安久のために用意＝プレゼンテーションした心を込めた食事会のテーブルを囲み、料理について、サービスについて、それにふさわしい新店舗の空間デザインについて、さまざまなアイデアとイメージを話し合いました。It was an early summer of Italy with full of light. Enjoying the feeling of the refreshing wind, they discussed their future plans. They visited the local restaurants for their ideas. Mateo and Sylvia served nice dinner for Mr. Agu and they further discussed the details of the ideas and images, such as menus, services and the design of the restaurant.
再会の場所がイタリアであっても、この時に三人の心を結びつけていたのは「金沢を愛する強い想い」。言葉を超えた確かな共感が、【kanazawa biiki project CASA】の根幹を豊かに育てはじめていました。 Their reunion was in Italy. But the one which connected the three was the strong passion to Kanazawa. They felt the same feeling without expressing it and ‘Kanazawa Biiki Project- CASA’ has begun.
その後、プロジェクトは2017年7月下旬のマテオとシルビアの再来日へとつづき、金沢での店舗物件の仮決定、参考にしたいレストランの詳細な視察、在留資格取得のための行政書士を交えた打ち合わせ、事業計画書の作成などへと進みますが・・さてここで、努力や情熱ではどうすることもできない困難に直面します。 After that, Mateo and Sylvia re-visited Japan in July 2017. They viewed some commercial properties, visited some restaurants as a model, had a meeting for visa with administrative scrivener and started designing more realistic business plan. BUT...they faced a difficulty that their passion and effort cannot overcome...
「在留資格認定証明書交付申請」を当局に提出したものの、いつまで待ってもナシノツブテ。 結果としてこの困難は、およそ5ヵ月もの “空白期間” を生んでしまうことになりました。There was no contact for so long after the visa application. As a result, this brought a 5 month blank... It was hard to believe for all because this is not normal in Japan.
