Japanese comedy for Beginners Japanese! I met the comedians ‘Team Franponais’ in Fujinomiya (near Mt. Fuji) on Christmas Eve 2025.
I love the idea the cross-cultural event for the locals.
- Funny stories can connect people worldwide easily.
- Beginner Japanese learners can understand comedy performance in Japanese.
- Beginner Japanese learners can make funny stories.
- Fujinomiya city is active for making the citizens happy and healthy.
So, I wanted to be helpful to support this event and joined them yesterday!
I tried the structure of ‘manzai’ and a bit of ‘Kansai-ben (dialect)’ for the first time in my life.
Basically, a pair makes Q&A.
Q is normal, but A is usually something not appropriately answered.
In this way, the answer is funny and people will laugh!
Once you know this method, you can make your Japanese friends laugh in basic Japanese 😊
Fujinomiya city is very active for their SDGs and the citizens’ wellbeing. I’m sure that this kind of city will be sustainable. I was impressed that the local high school students helped with organising this event and looked happy!
