2004年にロンドンで英語で落語をしました。とても笑ってくれて嬉しかったです。２００４ねんにロンドンでらくごをしました。とてもわらってくれてうれしかったです。I performed RAKUGO, traditional Japanese comedy in London in 2004! I made people laugh!!!

<日本語>
１日本で英語を教えていました。ときどきネイティブの先生から日本語について質問があって、教えました。とても楽しかったです。
２英語のレッスンは毎日とても楽しかったんですが、私の国が好きなが人に日本語を教えるほうが楽しそうだと思いました。
３私は人が好きです。
４言葉は人の考え方がわかりやすいので、言葉を教えるのが好きです。それで、日本語を教えて、日本が好きな人に日本人の考え方を教えようと思いました。
５日本語を勉強したら、新しい世界が広がります。特に日本語と英語は全然違う考え方で話しますから、たくさんのことが学べます。
６見える世界が広がって、人間的な成長もあって、広い心で違いを受け入れられる人が多くなったら、今の世界も平和になると思います。
７それで、これからもっとたくさんの人に日本の文化を通じて日本語を教えていきたいです。

<にほんご>
１にほんでえいごをおしえていました。ときどきネイティブのせんせいからにほんごについてしつもんがあって、おしえました。とてもたのしかったです。
２えいごのレッスンはまいにちとてもたのしかったんですが、わたしのくにがすきながすひとににほんごをおしえるほうがたのしそうだとおもいました。
３わたしはひとがすきです。
４ことばはひとのかんがえ方かたがわかりやすいので、ことばをおしえるのがすきです。それで、にほんごをおしえて、にほんがすきな人ひとににほんじんのかんがえかたをおしえようとおもいました。
５にほんごをべんきょうしたら、あたらしいせかいがひろがります。とくににほんごとえいごはぜんぜんちがうかんがえかたではなしますから、たくさんのことがまなべます。
６みえるせかいがひろがって、にんげんてきなせいちょうもあって、ひろいこころでちがいをうけいれられるひとがおおくなったら、いまのせかいもへいわになるとおもいます。
７それで、これからもっとたくさんのひとににほんのぶんかをつうじてにほんごをおしえていきたいです。

<English>
１I was teaching English in Japan. And sometmes the native English teachers asked me about Japanese language. I really enjoyed teaching Japanese.
２I enjoyed my English clases every single day, but I thought it would be more fun to teach Japanese for those who love my country.
３I am interested in people.
４I love teaching a language, because you can understand the native speakers (ways of thinking) through the language. That's why I wanted to teach Japanese ways of thinking to Japan lovers by teaching Japanese.
５If you learn Japanese, you can expand your world. Especially, Japanese people and English native speakers speak with very different perspectives and mindsets. That's why, you can learn so many things throgh language learning.
６When you see the world wider, you automatically experience your personal development. I think the world becomes more peaceful if there are more people who can accept differences with wider views.
７Thereofre, I would like to teach Japanese langauge to as many people as possible by teching Japanese perspectives and ways of thinking in the future.

＜日本語＞
１私は2003年にイギリスに来て、ロンドン大学アジア・アフリカ研究所で応用言語学の修士号を勉強しました。
２日本で日本人に英語を教えていた時、同僚の英語のネイティブの先生に日本語について聞かれました。それで、日本語を教えるのが楽しかったからです。
３それから、シェフィールド大学で3年間日本語専科の学生に日本語の学位を教えました。ここの東アジア研究学部は日本研究で有名です。
４また、ロンドンに戻って、キングスカレッジ大学、ロンドン大学アジア・アフリカ研究所、イギリスの外務省で日本語を教えました。とてもいい経験でした。
５2011年にキングスカレッジ大学で教育ビジネスのMBAを勉強しました。
６2015年にArai Academy of Japanese Studiesを始めました。プライベートレッスンで勉強したい人はとても頑張ります。それをサポートしたかったからです。

＜にほんご＞
１わたしは2003ねんにイギリスにきて、ロンドンだいがくアジア・アフリカけんきゅうじょでおうようげんごがくのしゅうしごうをべんきょうしました。
２にほんでにほんじんにえいごをおしえていたとき、どうりょうのえいごのネイティブのせんせいににほんごについてきかれました。それで、にほんごをおしえるのがたのしかったからです。
３それから、シェフィールドだいがくで3ねんかんにほんごせんかのがくせいににほんごのがくいをおしえました。ここのひがしアジアけんきゅうがくぶはにほんけんきゅうでゆうめいです。
４また、ロンドンにもどって、キングスカレッジだいがく、ロンドンだいがくアジア・アフリカけんきゅうじょ、イギリスのがいむしょうでにほんごをおしえました。とてもいいけいけんでした。
５2011ねんにキングスカレッジだいがくできょういくビジネスのMBAをべんきょうしました。
６2015ねんにArai Academy of Japanese Studiesをはじめました。プライベートレッスンでべんきょうしたい人はとてもがんばります。それをサポートしたかったからです。

＜English＞
１ I came to UK in 2003 and studied MA Applied Japanese Linguistics at School of Asian and African Studies, University of London.
２ This is because I really enjoyed teaching Japanese when I was asked about Japanese by the English native speaking teachers when I was teaching English in Japan.
３Then, I taught Japanese for the university students of BA in Japanese at University of Sheffiled for 3 years. The department called East Asian Studies is prestigious in Japanese Studies.
４I returned to London and taught Japanese at King's College London (the oldest university in London), School of oriental and African Studies - University of London, Foregin and Commonwealths Office for British diplomats. These were all my great experiences.
５In 2011 I studied MBA in Education Management at King's College London.
６In 2015, I started Arai Academy of Japanese Studies. Simply, I wanted to support private students who are very dedicated for learning Japanese.

​新年明けましておめでとうございます。イギリスではロックダウン状態での新年でしたが、新たな気持ちでスタートを切れたことを願っております。

経験から学び、今できることを知り、前進していく、これを学ぶ機会になったのが去年だったのかもしれません。２０２１年はそれを実践していく時なのかもしれませんね。「和」の心を備えた皆様、各々が今世界のためにできることを小さなことから毎日実践していきましょう。

Happy New Year! I hope you had a great start of the year! Tier 4 restriction cannot make us down!

Yes, we learned a lot deeply from last year. Now we know our new steps forward. This year is the time to take an action! The Japanese ways of creating harmony 和 might be useful. Let's do a tiny thing that we can do for the best to the world every single day! It will be massive!

'Kintsugi' is a Japanese artistic technique to combine all the pieces of broken tableware with gold. It is a traditional way of reusing in Japan. My friend beautifully made it to the teacup that I gave her as a gift from the UK! Now, she can enjoy milk tea with the newly designed cup with gold. Give it life!

金継ぎはにほん日本の文化で割れた食器を金で一つにしてあtらしいデザインとしてまた使います。友人にあげたイギリスのティーカップが金継ぎで新しくおまれ変わりました。またミルクティーが飲めるようになりましたね！大切に使ってもらえてうれしいです。

My friend, Molly Brown, is an amazing film director and I acted on her RING parody.
We filmed it last year and it was released at a film festival called 'KINO London' on 20th of February 2020. Original RING is one of the most scary Japanese horror film but Molly's version is very funny and fun!!! The festival was a great fun! Congratulations, Molly!!! I am so proud of you.
