Earthquake in Japan New Year's Day 2024

2024年元旦の能登半島地震で、被災された皆様に心からお見舞い申し上げます。 It was shocking that there was a big earthquake on the new year’s day in Noto Peninsula, Japan.

NPO法人ＣＯＤＥ海外災害援助市民センター(code-jp.org)が被災地NGO恊働センター(ngo-kyodo.org)と連携し、活動支援金の募金を開始しました。地震が起きた当日には即情報収集、2日には現地入りをしたそうです。 CODE, Citizens towards Overseas Disaster Emergency, is a Japanese NPO organisation(code-jp.org) and it works with The NGO Collaboration Center for HANSHIN QUAKE Rehabilitation (ngo-kyodo.org). They collected the information on the day and already moved into the affected areas on the next day.

私が2023年10月にトルコのイスタンブールに滞在中、NPO法人ＣＯＤＥ海外災害援助市民センター主催のトルコ・シリア地震の支援活動の報告会に参加した際、その迅速な対応や懸命な活動に心を打たれました。 I attended the meeting about the volunteering work for Turkey–Syria earthquakes organised by CODE when I was in Istanbul in October 2023 and their quick actions were impressive.
