🌸 Kizuki #11 Reconfirming My Mission:Harwell Japan Day

At Harwell Japan Day, I met many people who understood the importance of building relationships with Japan.

Harwell Japan Day is an event that brings together professionals, researchers and organisations interested in strengthening collaboration between the UK and Japan.

But one question kept appearing:

How do you actually build those relationships?

Years ago, a busy CEO named Samuel could only attend three lessons before his first business trip to Japan.

Recently, he sent me a message:

"You gave me the key. And I opened many doors."

What happened between those two moments changed the way I think about communication, trust, and my mission.

What I learned from Samuel's journey can be summarised in four simple ideas:

Trust creates conversations.
Conversations create relationships.
Relationships create partnerships.
Partnerships create opportunities.

If you work with Japan, are learning Japanese, or are curious about Japanese cross-cultural communication, this story may change the way you think about relationship building.

You may discover that trust, not language, is often where meaningful connections begin.

"You gave me the key. And I opened many doors."

Trust creates conversations.
Conversations create relationships.
Relationships create partnerships.
Partnerships create opportunities.
