I taught my oldest student between 2000 and 2003 in Japan.

始めて教室で会ったとき、この生徒は12才でした。

She was 12 years old when I first met her in the classroom.

私は2003年にイギリスで新しい生活を始めました。

I started my new life in the UK in 2003.

この生徒は2019年にイギリスに来ました。

She came to the UK in 2019.

この生徒は今月、日本に帰る前に私の新しい家に来ました。

And she visited my new home this month before she goes back to Japan.

ここで会って、とてもうれしかったです。

It was nice to meet her in my new place.

この長い関係は教師の私にとってとても大切なものです。

This kind of long relationship makes me feel so precious as a teacher.

教えることと習うことは教室の中だけじゃないですね。

Teaching and learning is not just at lessons.

私にとって教えることと習うことは人生そのものだと思います。

For me, teaching and learning is our life!
